Might be awhile I’m also slower in my old age. Just saw this again. Hopefully the Asrock board isn’t dead on arrival and lasts for long time. With it working out well for my purposes and currently being on sale, I figured I’d pass along this quick recommendation for those wanting to assemble a budget Ryzen Linux system. There was no time frame on the deal, then it just ended. ASRock tends to come out ahead when comparing features and price most of the time. Even various reference EFI implimentations just hang, so I can’t really recommend it.

If a device or chipset has been around for a year or more, the liklihood of its being supported is pretty high. The time now is Found very little on the internet and nothing definitive. Only update the BIOS if you have a need to do so – typically, if the system is working lniux the current BIOS firmware then it is better to leave it alone.
